Woolsery Show Time. Farming traditions and rural life

What better way to celebrate rural life than a visit to a traditional agricultural show. The first Woolfardisworthy "Colt Show", now the Woolsery Show, was held in 1892 and apart from the war, foot and mouth and Covid it has continued to be a draw for locals and visitors to Bideford, North Devon. It is now held annually on the last Monday in July. In 2008 the show moved from the Milky Way Family Park at Higher Clovelly to the grounds of the Clovelly Court Estate.

Featured just a few of the events in the main ring, surrounded by colourful trade and farming community and vintage equipment and food stands and craft marques.

Looking back on North Devon Lockdown Covid19 Day 126

It should have been the Woolsery Show today, sadly  the event was cancelled due to Covid19 so I'm having a nostalgic look back at some photos from 2008, the first time the show relocated from Downland Farm to Clovelly Court. The first Woolfardisworthy "Colt Show", now the Woolsery Show, was held in 1892 and apart from the war and foot and mouth it has continued to be a draw for locals and visitors. It is now held annually on the last Monday in July. Looking forward to Woolsery Show 2021.

It's Woolsery Show Time

It’s Woolsery Agricultural Show on Monday July 31st set against the backdrop of Bideford Bay at Clovelly Court. The photos here were taken at the show in 2014 so we are hoping for some blue skies and sunshine again for this colourful event. The first Woolfardisworthy "Colt Show", now the Woolsery Show, was held in 1892 and apart from the war and foot and mouth it has continued to be a draw for locals and visitors. It is now held annually on the last Monday in July. For Clovelly Court follow the signs tor Clovelly Village off the A39 Atlantic Highway between Bideford, North Devon and Bude, Cornwall.
