Circle of Fun at the BIG Sheep Outdoor Stage & Socially Distanced Arena. Supporting local arts, theatre and music.

The BIG Sheep are pleased to be able to welcome 'ewe' back with open arms! Their fantastic open air show arena is ready to entertain the whole family, from toddlers dancing at Jiggy on the Farm, "theatre goers" enjoying performances organised by The Plough Arts Centre and "music lovers" soaking up the sounds of local bands organised by The Palladium Club Bideford.

From the picture below, you'll see the socially distanced circles clearly marked on the outdoor arena which guides you to where you can safely socialise whilst enjoying the entertainment.

Alcohol is served at all evening events. Their license only allows to serve to you, so please do not bring your own. Please bring your own food and snacks or limited snacks will be available to purchase.

There's a new one-way system in place to help keep you safe as well as plenty of hand sanitising stations filled with our own sanitiser made here on site! They've got a brand new reception area where you'll have your temperature taken on arrival, plus we have screens at all our contact points to keep our staff safe.

Naturally there are some new guidelines to be aware of when you arrive on site, so please take a moment to read > Coronavirus Customer Guidelines and Covid Safe Charter. You will be expected to comply with this at all times.

Some of the steps taken in order to reopen include:
  • No-hands door pulls on all external doors
  • A new visitor charter
  • A new one-way system
  • New state of the art thermal imaging camera system to check temperatures
  • Hygiene screens at contact points Staff training to guard against Covid-19

Looking back on North Devon Lockdown Covid19 Day 126

It should have been the Woolsery Show today, sadly  the event was cancelled due to Covid19 so I'm having a nostalgic look back at some photos from 2008, the first time the show relocated from Downland Farm to Clovelly Court. The first Woolfardisworthy "Colt Show", now the Woolsery Show, was held in 1892 and apart from the war and foot and mouth it has continued to be a draw for locals and visitors. It is now held annually on the last Monday in July. Looking forward to Woolsery Show 2021.
